A drone attack killed three US service members and injured at least 25 others in Jordan, near the Syria border, on Saturday, according to President Joe Biden.
The deaths are the first US military fatalities connected to the conflict in Gaza, which began last October.
While US officials have blamed the attack on an "Iranian-backed" group, it has not yet specified exactly which one they think is responsible, according to The Associated Press. Hamas is thought to be back by Iran, as is Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthis in Yemen. The Houthis have been launching drone attacks on ships in the Red Sea for months.
Biden said the United States is "still gathering the facts" regarding Saturday's "despicable and wholly unjust" attack. He pledged retaliation.
"Have no doubt — we will hold all those responsible to account at a time and in a manner of our choosing," the president said on Sunday.

That would be a good start. Instead Biden will have the military blow up some tents and empty warehouses after giving Iran warning and intel about other attempted attacks on them by others (the Biden/Obama admin actually did that -- multiple threads here).
Strike back in retaliation then get our troops out of there because they are just sitting ducks. We have no US interests in Syria and Jordan.
How about stop shoveling money to Iran?

FINALLY democrats/uniparty back to getting military service members killed again after orange man bad !

That makes five, (that we know about) these three plus the two seals. We will probably never be given the truth of the seals deaths. But I do not believe it was an accident, just like I will never believe Biden won in 2020.
I believe under the Donald no us troops were killed on foreign soil.
The head of the islamofascism snake in Tehran should have been hit on Oct 7.
“Someone please explain America’s present deep interest in the mid-east, particularly in remote places in Syria and Iraq’s border.
A tiny piece: All Muslim nations are one entity, with stronger ties than NATO. They are at war with us permanently, whether obvious/active or not. They hit peaks at times because they are excitable religious fanatics ready to die gloriously when their antbed is kicked.
“And moreover, WHAT have we gained from it, besides thousands of dead GI’s and bankrupting the nation.”
That’s a tremendous error of method, not of policy. We always pull our punches, waste time, material and people because we are so scared of what our enemies/pretend friends will say. We need to flatten Iran completely and tell the rest to take notice or they’re next. Won’t happen.
“Now the USA is an oil/gas exporter and largest producer in the world. It shouldn’t matter to us if the Persian Gulf burns.”
Wait. Exporting doesn’t mean we have more than we need. Get this: We produce at a record rate right now: 14.8mm barrels a day.
We use 19.69 barrels a day. Oops. Exporting is taking advantage of price discovery to make more on some oil so the company can invest in future production. There are a lot of complicated moving parts in energy.
If Muslims can close the short sea routes to the market, the world will be in a depression quickly. They price will start up as more futures are sold, shipping costs are up 40%, guess what that means.
Well-stated BUMP
As far as I can tell, we don't have troops in Russia or China (yet).
The South Carolina politicos are salivating. More WarS!
Unfortunately, NATO is USA. And if the Americans are not doing anything, NATO is useless.
”Don’t blame us. We had no idea there were any Americans there.”
:-P
Do you have the military bases for China and Russia?
Damn the idiot is going to bomb a few more tents and some poor camels
This outpost has been struck before.

No doubt a terse memo written in authentic frontier gibberish...
I have the thought-possible that our own administration is capable of sacrificing our own-for the forwarding of their agenda. I trust not one of them.
