We have to remember that, when the stupid and gullible are a key part of one’s constituency, your voters vote by rote, but most are not ideologues , and can be distracted by shiny objects. I’d call him ruggedly handsome. Chicks will dig him. In a swing state that may be enough. By the same token, here in CA the voters love to vote for celebrities. That’s why I give Steve Garvey a solid 30% shot of winning Feinstein’s Senate seat
My comment on the Garvey race:
He is in a game where the opposing pitchers throw spitballs and the umpire is on the payroll of the other team.
