Article 1 section 10 of the US Constitution says:
No State shall...pass any...ex post facto Law I seems to me that this makes the ruling unconstitutional. An appeal to a federal court is in order.

The article is bunk.
The ruling was for walkouts which occurred last year, AFTER the 2022 law.
