I was once a liberal and thought I was one of the most enlightened individuals on the planet. In time , for the purposes of punching holes in all his conservative views I started listening to Rush Limbaugh and short order found I agreed with about 99/9% of everything he said. I had the come to Jesus political transformation from being a liberal Democrat raised in an normal American middle class family by two heterosexual , devoted and fiercely Irish Catholic faith and who were solid New Deal Democrats. My dad thought FDR was The Seconding Coming. Only my two older brothers were conservatives. They only paid lip service to the Democrat line to keep peace in the family and voted Republican.
