The idiot Republicans thought Perot was going to drain votes for Clinton because he favored a 50 cent gas tax and was pro-abort. They did NOT understand the mood of the country.
I did not vote for Perot, but I could see that his votes were not coming out of 43% Clinton's hide. Bush "Read My Lips" the Elder set himself up for the failure.
