President Joe Biden blamed former President Donald Trump and “MAGA Republicans” for the broken border system and his administration’s expected failure to convince Congress to pass a $118 billion bill that would allot $20 billion for border security but $60 billion for Ukraine.
“Now, all indications are this bill won’t even move forward to the Senate floor. Why? A simple reason: Donald Trump,” Biden said during a public address on Tuesday.
He claimed that Trump thinks the bill is “bad for him politically,” and, therefore, it is being opposed by Republicans in the House and Senate.

If Joe’s goal is to go down as one of the biggest assholes of the century, he’s doing a bang-up job.
Congressional inaction sort of IS Trump’s fault. If/when Trump is back in office, he will get the border under relative control immediately without Congress doing much of anything.
Biden could vastly improve the immigration/border problem with no legislation — he doesn’t want to. Congress has reason to accommodate the Left/Dems on this now.
There has never been any reason to link controlling our border with aid to Ukraine or Israel. Biden has delayed that by playing political games to get his open borders dream legislation as a tack-on.
I blame every president from JFK to present. We need Eisenhower‘s operation wet back. We need to militarize the border, install land mines, and declare the border a free fire zone. We need to fine and incarcerate CEOs and other corporate officers and board members for hiring illegals. And I say this as someone who supports legal immigration.
“Biden was left a huge mess by Trump he’s still trying to clean up, it was so bad, so why would we want to go back to Trump, who caused these problems to begin with and kick Biden out, who has just been left holding the bag?”
That’s the narrative - this was already starting and is now being ramped up. In reality, had Biden done literally nothing and just left the policies in place he found, things would be much better...as Trump had left him with a much improved and improving border situation - policies Biden promptly reversed.
