A rookie female corrections officer in Tennessee has been arrested for allegedly having sex with an inmate at the men’s jail.
Akira Jones, 20, a corrections deputy with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office in Memphis since May, was taken into custody Tuesday after a weeks-long internal investigation, officials said.
Jones, who has been on leave since late December, faces a felony charge of sexual contact with prisoners.
The deputy’s arrest stems from a complaint dated Dec. 20, which accused her of having sex with an inmate at the main county jail known colloquially as 201 Poplar.
Although the sheriff’s office did not specify the gender of the prisoner allegedly involved in the illicit romp, the agency’s website states that “male inmates are housed in downtown Memphis at 201 Poplar Avenue.” *** Jones, who was hired in May, was immediately placed on administrative leave as the sheriff’s office launched a criminal probe, which culminated with the case being brought before a grand jury for indictment.
Jones remained jailed as of Wednesday on a $5,000 bond, according to online inmate records.

There are some jobs where makeup should not be allowed. Prison guard is one of them.

She ain’t much to look at, but there are still plenty of bars she could go to and find someone willing to swab her bore. Legally.

Now she can “get some” in the womens’ prison.
Criminals are predators. They’ll go after the weak first. A girl like this who hasn’t had a lot of experience in dating and low self esteem are commonly prey for criminals. I saw a lot of it in 25 years in corrections. After awhile you develop an eye for who is gonna get “caught up” when new classes come on the job. All the incoming female staff, both custody and non-custody were given specific and extensive training regarding it, but a few always fail.

P.S. If you have a female C/O who dresses “up” that’s a bad sign. She had no damn business wearing those tarantulas on her eyes inside the walls. If for nothing else but a safety concern.

This. My agency tried several times to write it into the uniform policy with varying degrees of success. One battle they did win was long fingernails.
