I don’t think the Democrats expected Texas to counter their actions by shipping the Texas influx of illegals to “blue” states, thus making the blue states “bluer”, but having no effect on state electoral vote count.
Hopefully other states will do the same...
I think you’re right. May still have an effect since illegals are counted in the census. Could offset population thus house seat losses in places like California, New York and Illinois. Of course Trump tried to get non-citizens excluded from seat apportionment, so if he’s reelected and he’s successful the impact could be significant.
