Raised as a Muslim in Iran—one of the most dangerous places to be a Christian—Dilara* is well-acquainted with the harsh reality of persecution.
She has spent the past eight years in Lebanon, where some Christian friends in this largely Muslim country invited her to church.
Dilara took them up on their offer... she discovered free, online discipleship courses through the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association’s internet evangelism ministry, Search for Jesus.
Eager to continue exploring Christianity, she decided to enroll and was paired with a trained online discipleship volunteer to lead her through it.
As she poured through the course material, she found evidence that Jesus Christ not only exists, but that He loves her, has a purpose for her, and wants to help guide her life.
“How can [I] ask Jesus to be [my] Savior?” Dilara asked toward the beginning of the course, adding that she wanted to be “near to God.”

Now look--we can take many lessons from this wonderful news.
1. Our troubles are not as bad as Dilara's, so let us let God work through us in America.
2. Don't dismiss all Muslims as permanently lost. Dilara is proof positive God will rescue some, so we should give to ministries reaching out to them. And we can pray for them.
3. Realize, too, that while God will judge sin, He will also save others from different nations, tribes, languages. Stand strong in that truth, and keep focused on His strength, not our weakness. (And don't believe in your own strength to rescue--that can be an idol!)
okay, I am off my soapbox. :)
Billy Graham - one of America’s greatest exports.
Thanks for posting. This is great news! This is how 12 faithful men brought the world to Faith. Hard to believe it is as simple as that.
Bacon today, Baptized tomorrow.
This is going on around the world, and is the significant thing bothering many imams and sheikhs, who are pushing punishment for apostasy very hard now. They see many leaving, and it is an earthquake. One Canadian imam called it a “tsunami.”
Good.
Well said.
And one of the greatest servants of Jesus Christ.
Praise God!
I have to say that when I first read that, I thought it read “Muslim woman finds Jesus through intercourse.”
Glory to God.
.
Yes, I’ve heard that too — Muslims throughout the world are reporting (very quietly, of course) having dreams of Jesus.
You forgot one thing.
Her conversion from Islam will reflect poorly
on her entire family who are Muslims.
It is in the realm of the very inevitability she will be disowned by her entire family. She has become “ kaffir”/.
The disowning her for this is a accepted practice in Iran in families and there are a few other reasons for the shunning, too, but psychologically and emotionally its more than that- she is considered dead to them.
If she was in the backwaters of Iran she could be imprisoned & executed if knowledge got out.
I know what im talking about I lived there many years before AND after The Revolution 43 yrs ago.
Pray for her safety and to find safe harbor . Its playing with fire being ppublicly kno to have converted to Christianity.
Dont get me wrong there are many christians living in Iran but they are already embedded into society. Its just...well....you dont make a big deal out of it
I didn’t forget, but I appreciate your reminder. :)
Yes, we should pray for the protection of all followers of Christ in these dangerous countries. I cannot imagine the steps they have to take to be safe.
Lord, please blind the eyes of the persecutors from your children. Keep them under your wing. Amen.
