Hysteria over Biden’s age is a distraction from Trump’s authoritarianism; Despite the special counsel’s commentary on Biden’s supposed forgetfulness in his report.., the enormous stakes of this election remain unchanged. (the meds aren’t working alert)

Special counsel Robert Hur appears to have gotten what he was after with his final report on President Joe Biden’s handling of classified documents.

Hur, a former Trump-appointed U.S. attorney, claimed that Biden had “willfully retained and disclosed classified materials after his vice presidency when he was a private citizen,” but said the evidence was insufficient to establish guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. And the special counsel also differentiated Biden’s handling of documents from former President Donald Trump’s. But more than anything else, Hur’s ample commentary on Biden’s memory has become fodder for far-right — and not-so-far-right — media.

Which made for an interesting Thursday.

On the same day the Supreme Court appeared likely to ultimately rule that Trump can’t be disqualified from appearing on Colorado’s presidential ballot despite stoking the Jan. 6 riot, some people in the court of public opinion were suggesting that Biden had become disqualified himself — for supposed forgetfulness — or that his re-election campaign had sustained a near-fatal injury. Personally, I think that’s a damning portrayal of American politics: judicial failure and journalistic failure rolled into one.

Personally, I think that’s a damning portrayal of American politics: judicial failure and journalistic failure rolled into one.

I thought about that while reflecting on remarks from Norma Anderson of Colorado. Anderson, a 91-year-old Republican, is one of the plaintiffs in the effort to bar Trump from the ballot in her state. When she was asked about being involved in the case, she told NPR:

“I lived through World War II. I remember Hitler. I remember my cousin was with Eisenhower when they opened up the concentration camps. ... I mean, I understand protecting democracy.”

It’s an ominous warning to the nation about what might await us if Trump is elected.

They’re playing the old “authoritarian” card over and over because it’s the only one they have left. Democrats are the true big-government tyrants and they know it.

Authoritarianism, i.e. enforcing the laws on immigration that are actually on the books.

So if long overdue talking out loud about the cognitive condition of a Commander-in-Chief who is in charge of unleashing 5,550 nuclear bombs with 1,800 methods of delivery (including ICBMs, Bombers, and including MIRVed warheads on SLBMs) is now called “hysteria” then let it be.

The Dems have the world in danger by deliberately nominating and setting up a fraud election of Joe Biden. They are to blame.

No, what they’re really afraid of is that Trump will do the same thing to them that they’ve been doing to him for the past 7 years. It’s not authoritarianism, it’s called payback. And damn well deserved.

Anyone who doesn’t settle for 5% of of what he wants while giving the Democrats 95% of what they want is guilty of “authoritarianism.”

I remember living through President Trump’s first term. Until the world-wide panic over the Wuhan virus, things seemed to go pretty well for most people.

This word pretty much describes the author of this article and the fake President biden. Now that I think about it, it could describe a great many democrat politicians, activists, and activist media types.

Insipid /ĭn-sĭp′ĭd/
adjective

Lacking flavor or zest; not tasty.
"insipid soup." Lacking qualities that excite, stimulate, or interest; dull. Wanting in the qualities which affect the organs of taste; without taste or savor; vapid; tasteless.

Interesting wording in the title. Trump is authoritarian. No qualifiers. That’s him. Authoritarian.

But Biden’s forgetfulness is only “supposed”. So maybe Biden isn’t forgetful at all! The Hur report could well be wrong. What we are seeing with own eyes could well be wrong.

Trump’s problem: Authoritarian. No doubt about it.
Biden’s problem: Who knows? Maybe no problem at all.

I’ve noticed the beginning of a shift from “Trump is Hitler” to “Trump is the anti-Christ.”

They act like Trump has never held the office before (but they are projecting, of course). There is no getting along with these lunatics.

Can you even imagine what would have happened had Biden been President on December 7th, 1941?

Funny how they use the “Trump is the anti-Christ” scare tactic. The liberal Christians whom they hope to frighten are far more afraid of homophobes and capitalists than they are the anti-Christ.

This also from the MSNBC article. “despite stoking the Jan. 6 riot,”. What a bunch of BS from them.

Democrats would rather have a stumbling bumbling vegetable who can’t speak even one clear sentence as president over Trump.
