Atlanta DA admits to a relationship with Trump case prosecutor but defends her actions

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is strongly pushing back against claims she violated federal law and ethical standards by having a personal relationship with a lead prosecutor on the 2020 election interference case against former President Donald Trump and others.

In a court filing Friday, Willis said the relationship with Nathan Wade, who was hired to work the case in 2021, did not begin until 2022 and allegations that the pair financially benefit from prosecuting the case are "meritless."

The filing asks a judge to deny a Trump codefendant's motion last month to dismiss charges.

"To be absolutely clear, the personal relationship between Special Prosecutor Wade and District Attorney Willis has never involved direct or indirect financial benefit to District Attorney Willis," the filing reads. "Defendants have produced no evidence to suggest that there is any circumstance that would constitute a financial incentive on the District Attorney's part to pursue a conviction in this case through the appointment of Special Prosecutor Wade."

According to the Jan. 8 motion, Wade has been paid more than $600,000 since 2021 for his work on the case, which primarily included overseeing a months-long special purpose grand jury process behind closed doors that investigated the failed attempt to overturn Georgia's 2020 presidential results by Trump and his allies.

VIDEO: Authors of Fani Willis Paean Perform Desperate Spin at Bookstore

Imagine spending two whole years of your life working hard on a book, another in a series of books proclaiming Donald Trump a criminal, and at almost the very moment your book is published the entire premise falls apart. In the case of Michael Isikoff and Dan Klaidman this happened when their book “Find Me The Votes” which hyped Fani Willis as a dynamic prosecutor chock full of integrity was discovered to be corrupt to the tune of enriching her unqualified boy toy Nathan Wade as an overpaid investigator who in turn repaid the almost $700,000 favor by taking Fani on expensive vacations on cruises and hotels.

If the name Michael Isikoff sounds familiar, he is the one whose Monica Lewinsky story was spiked by Newsweek so he leaked it to Matt Drudge which made him a big social media hit (until about 4 years ago). Isikoff is also the one who wrote up the Steele Dossier that the FBI fed to him for which he later had to admit was FAKE news. And now his latest endeavor might be biting the dust completely on Fani Willis Day, February 15, when the trial judge Scott McAfee decides if Fani is corrupt (Spoiler Alert: She is) and has to disqualify her from the case which essentially destroys the case with the “Find Me The Votes” book as collateral damage. BTW, that book might be cited as evidence of corruption since there are stories that Fani fed secret grand jury deliberations to Isikoff and Klaidman which is a YUUUUUUUGE no-no and that alone could SINK her and her phony case.

Watch as the authors perform hilarious spin control to save their book sales at the Politics & Prose bookstore in Washington, D.C..

I heard there WERE plans to turn the book into a script but now any such movie deal would be OFF. However, there is a possibility it could become a comedy. See, two liberal authors write a book portraying a prosecutor as a hero but then she is discovered to be CORRUPT. As a result, the authors desperately travel around the country performing HILARIOUS spin control in a pathetic attempt to salvage the book sales.

But why did Fanny and her married lover go to the Whitehouse? To collude with federal douches like Biden and blinken?

Can we please put a giant condom over her head, so I don’t
have to get sick to my stomach again?

What’s her argument?

Like no one else in government takes kickbacks from the people they hire?

You can't blame her for defending her actions. She ain't gonna convict herself...she's a lawyer.

You only enter a guilty plea when you are out of better options.
