‘California is dying. Get out while you can.’
I left California in 2012, moved back to Oregon 35 miles away and gave the property to my kids ..I was old and moved to town because I was tired of fighting wildfire.
Then in 2020 Portland anarchists burned my entire community. I’m still trying to get back home.
Now the place I worked so hard to leave my family is gone too. 76 years of sweat and tears ALL GONE.
OMG, how awful! I’m very sorry to hear this. We moved away from Denver area (a wreck now) and lucked into an incredible spot, took two moves though. I hope your luck changes soon, best wishes! I understand ‘late’, I’m 75 soon. I meditate on and visualize what I want, seems to help.
