Ukraine authorities in the eastern Donetsk region of the country launched a war crimes-murder investigation after six seriously wounded Ukrainian troops allegedly were executed by Russian forces as they were waiting to be medevacked from Avdiivka.
The alleged murders by a Russian soldier of two Ukrainian POWs in the nearby village of Vesele, 12 miles northeast of the frontline city of Bakhmut, is the subject of a second separate investigation, the Donetsk regional prosecutor's office said Sunday in a social media post. Advertisement
The probe of the executions of prisoners in Avdiivka, which fell to Russian forces at the weekend, is based on a post on the chat platform, Telegram, while the principal evidence for Sunday's killings in Vesele is from drone footage in which the shootings were incidentally caught on camera, according to the prosecutor's office.
"The recording from the drone camera shows how today during the assault on our positions, a representative of the Russian Armed Forces shot at close range, first at one captured soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and then at the second," authorities said.

Sorry, should have added some context: Gonzalo Lira was an American reporter who was killed by the Ukrainian government (perhaps under orders of the US government) for reporting on ‘inconvenient facts’ regarding the Ukraine War.
I just knew it. Ukraine loses and starts screaming war crimes.
They would be better off doing a deep dive into their leadership and corrupt politicians who are sending them to die for personal profit.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Russia produces that bunch. Interesting that the Ukrainians didn’t feel they were worth taking back as they withdrew from Avdiivka - kind of reminds me of how a country treated its infirmed 90 or so years ago.

I guess the Ukies shooting down the Ukie prisoner of war plane ( most likely with US weapons) has no bearing. War has been war for centuries, no changing that.
That said, the good news is Avidivka fell, effectively stopping the shelling of Donetsk, which has occurred since 2014. Lots of celebrations for the ethnic Russian provinces….on to the Dniepner!
Noooo....he was providing intelligence information to the Muscovites and doxxing other journalists and Ukrainian military personnel so that they could be targeted and killed by FSB/GRU. He got caught jumping bail and died of pneumonia.

Maybe they will also investigate who ordered the bombing of civilians in that area, going back to 2014. But probably not.

There are several stories of Ukranians taking serious losses attempting to recover their dead and wounded.
Not being able to retrieve wounded is one thing, leaving your dead and wounded to rot in the field as is also well documented Russian trait is another

After untold thousands of Russian fodder died in the effort along with an uncounted excess of tanks and APC’s.
Meanwhile, Russian refineries burn, the Black Sea Fleet is incapacitated, russian HQ in Crimea is destroyed along with the commander and his staff, Russian air dares not fly and their planes are being destroyed not only in the air but on the ground.
Russian arms have been shown to be inferior and this major source of jobs for exports is gone. Oil and gas sales are seriously diminished. There is no domestic Russian auto production because of sanctions. Mercedes cars are stalled for lack of spare parts. Vodka is returning as the only solace for the loss of the life that is no longer possible.
Not to worry though..... there are thousands of mothballed T 55 tanks being readied for battle
