All her family called her Boot I used to work with a fellow who used "boot" as a verb meaning "to vomit" (due to motion sickness or alcohol intoxication). He was from Rochester, NY. FWIW.

"He was from Rochester, NY."
I was born and raised in Rochester, NY. Graduated from high school in 1965. Never heard the term "boot" in reference to vomit. We said puke, barf or throw-up.

We used to call it “power boot” when I was a kid.
