Citing what they describe as a “hostile” political climate, hundreds of Adobe workers are protesting the company’s decision to hold its flagship MAX conference in Miami Beach in October, according to a Wednesday report from Business Insider.
The outlet secured a 10-page petition sent to company leadership, signed by more than 500 employees of the San Jose tech giant. The petition said workers were “shocked and dismayed” by MAX’s move to Florida, and called out the state’s history of “egregious policies,” BI reported.
“We sincerely hope that the overwhelming evidence that Florida is a hostile environment for Adobe’s employees, partners, and customers will lead to a reconsideration of the location selected for Adobe MAX 2024,” the petition reportedly said. Workers also asked that Adobe review its event planning process and bolster event security, according to BI.
Apart from two all-remote sessions during the pandemic in 2020 and 2021, and visits to San Diego in 2016 and Las Vegas in 2017, Adobe has held MAX in Los Angeles every year since 2009. The company, known for popular software tools like Photoshop and Acrobat, uses the conference to show off new iterations of its technology to designers and businesses.

In October, the National Black Nurses Association moved its annual conference scheduled for July from Hollywood, Fla., to San Francisco, citing “anti-Black policies and laws” in the state.

If Adobe were a smart company, they would dismiss these fools. These types will wreck a company culture like nobody's business and they will never be satisfied. Giving into their demands only emboldens them to whine harder.
Once they get to Florida, they won’t want to go back to California.
GOOD...DON’T COME...PLEASE!
Roger that! Sack up and take a stand whiners.
Probably a bunch of fags afraid of governor meatball
Anyone is replaceable. Remember that, snowflakes.
Adobe should move their conference to Memphis.
Then they’ll really have something to complain about.
The 500 snowflakes can just identify as not being there.
they should move it instead to a homeless shelter in San Francisco!
To those Adobe employees that signed, don’t forget Texas is “open carry” so don’t forget to bring your holster if you want to move down here.
Fine, ur fired.
If they don’t like it, they can go somewhere else and work.
Kind of lower’s Adobe’s status in my opinion.
They can stay behind and cover the others’ desks. Win win
Let me rephrase - hiring these types of snowflakes kind of lower’s Adobe’s status in my opinion.
On the other hand, telling the crybabies to go pound sand raises Adobe’s status.
Adobe has always been overpriced overhyped and overelitist.
All Adobe has to do is open an office in the Keys - very favgy towns there Key West & Key Largo. Have been that way for years.
This Florida resident is absolutely crushed.
