Hochul facing heat over NY green push to ban key chemical in refrigerator, ACs: ‘Go too far, too quickly’

Gov. Kathy Hochul is facing heat over a green push targeting a key chemical used in refrigerators and air conditioners that critics say could force business owners to shell out hundreds of thousands of dollars in new equipment.

Small business owners warned the aggressive timetable to phase out hydrofluorocarbons, or HFCs, starting next year, could cripple businesses, icing out jobs and triggering price hikes on food items and other consumer products, as they attempt to comply with the costly mandate.

“The rule will increase the cost of business for us. What we get from the state is nothing but a nightmare. They nickel and dime us everywhere,” said Tariq Khan, 70, who owns a BP convenience store on Nassau Boulevard in West Hempstead, Long Island.

All these big national businesses should immediately CLOSE down all operations in the State while they can still afford to. You just wait to see how this works out when all the refrigeration needs are powered by PROPANE, a deadly Fossil Fuel that is highly flammable and explosive R290.

EVERYTHING about the greeniacs is “too far, too quickly.” We are way beyond the point of diminishing returns on the environment, but they just won’t stop. They are like addicts and cannot stop by themselves. They are always pushing, pushing, pushing for the next thing to ban even when there are no alternatives or the alternative costs 10X more resulting in prices going up 10X or more.

The whole environmental movement has turned into sheer lunacy. Maybe someday voters will wake up to the fact that this utopian world they want to create costs a LOT of money.

Start with the restaurants. Especially their gas stoves.

NY has become Appalachia (and not in a good way)

The state (and indeed the country) is dominated financially and politically by skimmings from financial trading and real-estate in NY City.

The remainder of the state has de-industrialized and de-populated, except for migrants joining the bloated, woke welfare deep-state,

Anyone with any brains and any means is getting out of New York. Democrat Hochul is the legacy of the evil Democrat Andrew Cuomo. Any vote for any Democrat anywhere anytime is a vote to destroy the American nation.

Cricket powder doesn’t need to be refrigerated. Neither do mealworms.

If you consume both three times a day the weather will be better.

It’s science!

Disagree....democrats have projected their numbers to be larger than they are and couldn’t get elected DOG CATCHER in their “safest” districts without massive cheating.

I hadn’t thought of destroying an entire state in this manner.

Creative.

Sometimes people don’t vote for this, but the masters are the ones counting the ballots. I have family in NY (in laws) and they’ve been there for several generations. They are hard-working conservative folks, and some of them are almost ready to retire. I do think they might move to Florida eventually, but they don’t vote for these numbskulls that run their state.

To those that vote for this, enjoy it. To those who don’t vote for it, the options are:

- Fight, get involved, try to increase your numbers and wins. Difficult, maybe impossible?

- Move.

- Embrace the suck.

The world is committing energy suicide too quickly. Take it slowly and get accustomed to a more poverty controlled life. And stop thinking about an American dream. Get accustomed to an American nightmare. Vote Biden and make room for foreign invaders to run your life. Life is good.
