His SACEUR General Wesley Clark told British General Sir Michael Jackson to fire on the Russians at Pristina.
General Jackson refused to fire, something generals of today would not do.
Clark got sacked as SACEUR shortly after.
Considering how Obama and Hillary were both obsessed with starting war with Russia either over Syria or in Hills case pretty much “PMS” I’m wondering if there has been a generally defined plan to get us in a war with Russia since the collapse of communism.
The dems/leftists were always oddly enamoured with communism and Russia up until the dissolution of the USSR.

We fomented an illegal coup in Ukraine and the people in Crimea wanted absolutely nothing to do with the puppet government we installed.
Crimea has been seeking independence from Ukraine since the time the Soviet Union ended.
The majority in Crimea were and are ethnic Russians. Crimea was part of Russia until 1954. And Russia has had a naval base there since 1783.
It did the same thing with rampant neo-Nazism in Ukraine.
Thd US was “entangled” in Yugoslavia long before that. The US and NATO countries not so secretly helped the Croats build up their forces for Operation Flash and Operation Storm.
And the US also bombed uncooperative Bosnian Serb forces on occasion, which were intimately connected to the Serbian government.

OBVIOUSLY if they did have bases, it didn’t bother the Soviets much, as they had EXCELLENT relations with Finland, since Finland maintained its neutrality.
And there was no reason to be there, let alone in support of the KLA islamists.

Considering how impolite the KLA was being and the history of the area, hardly something we needed to be involved in.
That’s the complex part of this. There are multiple factions with the Ukraine gov’t, and within the US Regime as well.
Larry Johnson said when there is leaks of really secret stuff like this, it represents a dispute within the Regime. When they all agree, nothing leaks.
What I don’t understand is what is in dispute for the US Regime ? Is there some big Ukraine issue they disagree about ?
Excellent relations with Finland, except behind the eyes of both sides. Finnish hostility today derives from decades of ongoing, unspoken hostility.
Thus “things” were certainly done, covertly.

Countries have to deal with the powers that be among their enemies and allies. Even Trump made nice with Xi and Kim. Thats why some of the Euros are saying good things about Trump lately. Expect more of that down the road.
