Keep voting democrat and in a few years, you’ll wish we were back to these days, bad as they are now.
Single industry towns have always lived on the brink. One change in technology, one misstep my management, boom.
Then racist Joe Biden, in his first week in office, worked against the great Obama's vision for natural gas and proclaimed natural gas as what's killing us all. Biden issued multiple EO's to make it harder to drill for natural gas. That made both my natural gas bill shoot up as well as my power bill (fuel costs born by the power company are passed onto the consumer in a per kWh rate rider).
“Brauer said the dignity of work is at the very core of the American experience, “Yet the elites of this country still just don’t understand, while average Americans just keep getting financially squeezed more and more.””
They understand perfectly. They despise you and are deliberately destroying you. It’s you that doesn’t understand... yet.
Biden just introduced another particulate emission change that will require a six fold reduction.
That should just abolute do it for the rest of the industrial sector in the USA.
There was a “ conservative” guy at National Review a few years ago who wrote about how these towns “deserved to die.” Like she said, these voters are there for the taking but the GOP has no clue.
Seeing it now in Ohio, where Sherrod Brown is going to coast to re-election in the Senate. Not because he ever did anything, but because he has ads showing old farts telling us “Sherrod Brown gave me back my dignity.”
‘Middle America is dying hard’
No Schiff !
only an idjit would deny that is the plan .

FREE.TRAITORS.DONT.CARE.
Yes, Freepers hate blue collar workers. Its obivous.
People in power will NEVER care about your life, until you make them. And if you can’t make them, then welcome to the “new normal”.
Yeah, that’s one way of looking at it.
Nope. Don’t hate anybody. Just pointing out reality.
You mean the REAL way to look at it. Company towns have had issues like this for as long as there have been company towns. If the company has issues the town suffers. Towns that have more than 1 company, preferably more than 1 industry, have more elasticity and durability.

One job lost is a tragedy; 10,000 jobs is a statistic.
“Middle America” == racist Democrat dog-whistle code for “White”. Therefore they couldn’t be happier that it’s dying.
But urban racist ghettos/barrios are not just dying, they’re already dead in the vast majority of cases. So what does that leave?
Suburbs, but the ones which look like “Middle America” aren’t *allowed* to look that way for long and they end up inevitably going ghetto too. Very slowly in some cases, but inevitably nonetheless.
Opening the border wide and inviting the invasion of criminals and other sewage couldn’t possibly have an adverse effect on any of this, fortunately. /s
“One change in technology, one misstep my management ....”
And one 3rd world country that can make stuff cheaper than we can.
You’ve managed to be 100% correct, while missing the point completely.
