Moldova should cede Transnistria to Ukraine. The people there speak Russian or Ukrainian, and Ukraine is already at war with Russia. Then Ukraine can take military action to end the Russian occupation there as well.

I did not watch the video but didn’t the ethnic Russians who populate this region vote in a referendum today to ask for Russian protection? Yes, we’ve seen this movie before.

To clarify, Russia's involvement in Ukraine, Transnistria, and elsewhere, is also "by proxy":

ON THE EFFECTIVE USE OF PROXY WARFARE - by Andrew Lewis Peek, May 2021, Dissertation for PhD

CHAPTER THREE: RUSSIA AND UKRAINE, 2013-2016 [pg 118 of 446 in the PDF file] "This chapter will examine Russia’s use of proxy forces in Ukraine from the beginning of demonstrations in Kiev’s Maidan Square on November 21, 2013 to the dissipation of the conflict in 2016. Though it covers all the high-intensity periods of the war, this chapter is focused on the fighting in Donbas and not Russia’s takeover of Crimea."

Who cares what the UN recognizes.

EXPLAINED: What Happens If Breakaway Transnistria Joins Russia?

Excerpt:

“Founded with Moscow’s assistance, the predominantly Russian-speaking region declared independence from Moldova in 1990 following the collapse of the USSR, citing the lack of protection for Russian speakers as Moldova sought closer integration with Romania in the 1990s due to close cultural and historical ties between the two.

The separatist movement in Transnistria eventually led to a brief but bloody conflict with Moldovan forces, with Tiraspol – through the help of Russian troops – emerging victorious and maintaining its autonomy. However, no UN member state has recognized its independence, and the UN continues to consider it part of Moldova.

Since the conflict, the Kremlin also has around 1,500 soldiers permanently stationed in the region on what it has called a “peacekeeping” mission.”

Putin learned the lesson of Munich and decided the further demands of DC/London/NATO would only be stopped by force.

You don’t get to be the largest empire on Earth by giving land away! P.S. If Russia comes calling, they will bring a whole lot of ex commie settlers with them and run you out. Next thing you know you have another Russian speaking enclave.

Every time I see the president of Belarus with Putin he looks like the guy who shows up at the prom with “the crazy chick.”

It’s how they roll. If you don’t have a Russo-phone minority keen to secede, they’ll send you some “little green men” to get things moving. It’s what the Palestinian thing is about, too. All would-be totalitarians learned from Hitler in Sudetenland.

He didn’t invade Ukraine because of Russo-phobia, but because of Zelensky’s overtures to eastern Russian speakers.

Sluga Narodu is mostly recorded in Russian. It was Zelensky’s first language, and he obtained fame touring Russia with his troupe, who are all featured in Sluga Narodu. The third and last season was basically a campaign ad, and an overt appeal for national unity in addition to his earlier calls to end corruption.
