The Illinois Supreme Court unanimously appointed Judge Tracie Porter as an At-Large Cook County Circuit Court Judge (Countywide). Judge Porter was sworn into office on November 12, 2021. Judge Porter currently sits in the Traffic Division in the Richard J. Daley Center in downtown Chicago, where she presides over minor traffic violations and Class A Misdemeanor matters. Judge Porter is a member of the Illinois Judges Association (IJA), the Illinois Judicial Council (IJC) and the International Association of Women Judges. Judge Porter received Highly Qualified/Recommended and/or Qualified/Recommended Ratings from the Chicago Bar Association and the Alliance of Bar Associations.

Judge Porter is a native Chicagoan who grew up on the southside of Chicago in the Englewood community. Judge Porter resides in Country Club Hills in the southern suburbs of Chicago. Judge Porter received her Juris Doctorate Degree from Drake University Law School. Judge Porter received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Business from Cornell College. She is a graduate of Whitney M. Young High School, where she graduated in the top ten percent of her class.

Judge Porter has a 28-year distinguished career as a Lawyer, Professor of Law, and now as a Judge. Immediately prior to her appointment, Judge Porter practiced law in her own firm Tracie R. Porter, P.C. Judge Porter’s mortgage short sales article, entitled, The Quagmire of Mortgage Short Sale Transactions Under Current Homeownership Tax Policy in a Time of Crisis, was published in the well-respected Akron Law Review and has been cited in an Illinois Third Appellate decision. Judge Porter currently teaches as an Adjunct Professor of Law at her alma mater Drake University Law School.

Judge Porter has served as a board member and volunteer for not-for-profit organizations that serve their communities in the areas of cancer support, environmental sustainability and tree planting, support for residents of Chicago’s Bronzeville community, and preparing high school/college students for entrance into professional sports. Judge Porter is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, a sisterhood devoted to public service to communities throughout the world.

RFK, Jr. wants to close the Southern border. How does that make him worse than Biden? This is about denying Illinois' electoral votes to Biden. If Trump can't win the state, then denying them to Biden is the next best thing. The worst case scenario is a contingent election in the U.S. House where each state gets one vote and the Republican candidate should win.
