She was in Portland Maine tonight stumping for votes for our Tuesday primary. There were several hundred people at the Elks club across from the airport to greet her. About 70 % of the crowd were not enrolled in the Republican party in Maine.
I was there trying to collect signatures for local candidates and could have only republicans signing. Many people were confused by this requirement (or more specifically why I was asking in what town do you live and are you registered as a Republican as I roamed round the crowd).
You would be amazed at the number of people at a political rally who were clueless to the political process of getting candidates on the ballot.
I clapped hard when she said we need to close the borders. Most of the room remained silent on that point.
