How is that possible DC is not a State. Was there some law in 1964 that gave them Statehood, that all have missed all these years? The representative for DC has no vote possible on US wide issues and laws— and is not a representative of a State. Enlighten FReepers, please.

It’s symbolic. They get 3 electors. Nit a state, no Senators. Their House members can’t vote.
