Recently watched the 1943 film “This Land Is Mine” about the Nazi occupation of a fictional European town during WWII. Censorship, arrest without trial, suppression of free speech, hostage taking, and murder. It struck me as the plot unfolded that I was watching what America is becoming — a tyrannical police state. Au secours!
