Vice President Harris touts economic, labor achievements in visit to Madison (WI)

Vice President Kamala Harris visited Madison Wednesday, in another visit by the highest-level politicians to Wisconsin during what is shaping up to be a key battleground for Campaign 2024 and the road to the White House.

Harris visited the Metro Transit Satellite Bus Facility, where she and Acting U.S. Secretary of Labor Julie Su touted Biden administration policies and successes.

As part of her visit, Harris met with construction workers to talk about the importance of their work. She also introduced a new federal apprenticeship program.

“When we invest in the American people, including the American worker, everyone benefits,” Harris said.

In remarks to media at the facility, Harris mentioned the local impact of policies approved at the federal level.

“This work that we see behind us is a function of that partnership around how we can get federal dollars out to local governments and local communities in a way that they then invest in the talent of the community,” Harris added.

National focus on Wisconsin is expected to increase throughout 2024, as the state is expected to become key in a reelection of President Joe Biden, or a return to the White House for former president Donald Trump.

When asked how the Biden/Harris ticket planned to defeat Trump in Wisconsin, Vice President Harris replied, “One vote at a time.”

I’m surprised the Dems are trotting her out due to her extreme unpopularity and low approval numbers.

Maybe this isn’t a bad thing - let her expose herself and her Hillary Clinton-style cackling and idiocy for all the world to see.

They’re prepping her to step in for Biden when he “gracefully” withdraws for “health” reasons.
If the silliness and the cackling stops, that will be a sign.
Get ready. First woman president, and black to boot!

Wisconsin voters share issues important to them as election season ramps up, VP Harris visits

(They interviewed Madistan idiots roaming around free):

Vice President Kamala Harris’s visit to Madison Wednesday came on the heels of Super Tuesday, meaning campaign season is in full swing. Some Wisconsin voters told News 3 Now that it’s the need for solutions, not the candidates, that’s driving them to the polls.

For Kathy Walsh, priority number one is seeing an end to the war and humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

She visited Gaza in 2005 and later joined the Madison-Rafah Sister City Project. Now, Walsh said she’s bringing the memories and wellbeing of Palestinian children to the polls with her.

“I will not vote for anybody who does not support an immediate ceasefire,” she said. “An enforceable entity, you know, putting a lot more aid to rebuild Gaza.”

Rollie and Mary Boeding were also out for a walk downtown Wednesday, and for the longtime Wisconsin voters, “Well, I’m very concerned about the environment,” Rollie said.

“And global warming, I mean, it is here. Whether we want to admit it or not It is here,” he said.

The two said they were disgusted by the misinformation and divisiveness of society this election cycle, and urged that young people continue showing up to the polls.

“I think the division, some of the, you know, Supreme Court rulings have really enlightened the young people to realize they need to get involved,” Mary said.

The Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade in 2022 and the battle for reproductive rights that followed continue to be a top issue for students on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus.

Emmie Niemi said she feels the need to start looking beyond the Democrat and Republican Presidential candidates for change.

Niemi is turning to other positions in other parties, “looking at who cares about abortion, cares about letting women just have rights in general.”

Meanwhile nearby playing in the grass of Library Mall, Gregory Lyon said him and Nolan Baudry are “both pretty much one-party voters. I’m pro-life, so we’ll see how that goes.”

According to data from the U.S. Census Bureau roughly half of registered voters under 25 in Wisconsin cast a ballot in the November 2022 election.

While Lyon is turning out to vote, he said that’s the farthest he’ll wade into the political pool.

“It’s like when I talk about politics, I just get depressed, I feel like,” he said. “So I just try to stay out of it.”

There seemed to be more disappointment than excitement about the candidates once again vying to be Commander-in-Chief.

“Like, how much longer are we going to have to keep putting geriatric old men into office before we can do something else?” Niemi said.

Fellow Junior Christa Klais agreed. “That’s kind of upsetting, is now that I’m finally of voting age, I cannot vote for someone that I feel really, truly represents something that we should be doing as a country.”

Wisconsin’s Spring Primary is April 2nd.

GOD HELP US! :)

The young people by and large have skulls full of Marxist mush. The indoctrination has been done very thoroughly. It does seem rather hopeless but we must fight on regardless.

Madison in no way represents Wisconsin. We call it 30 square miles surrounded by reality.

"The United States recently crossed a significant threshold, with its national debt surpassing $34.4 trillion. This translates to a concerning trend – an increase of roughly $1 trillion every 100 days"...

Yeah, these "Partnerships" often translate into partners...in crime, which provide a conduit to democrat campaign coffers...AKA, money laundering.

In recent elections the democrat candidate often outspent their Republican rival 2or3 to 1.

Where's all that cash coming from?

...I know, let's get the "4th Estate" on it.

LOL!

...most are staying ALIVE with the same(said) crooked cash...SO LONG AS THEY SPEW THE NARRATIVES THAT KEEPS THE CORRUPTION GOING/HIDDEN.

I left Dane County and moved ONE County over, 8 years ago.

It’s like night and day! Once you’re out of Dane or Milwaukee Counties, life is so NORMAL! :)
