A congressional investigation has discovered strange communication equipment on Chinese-built cargo cranes at U.S seaports, The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday.
Rather than building them domestically at potentially higher costs, the U.S. relies heavily on Chinese-built cargo cranes that are relatively cheap to produce and equip at seaports across the country. The congressional probe discovered that several of these cranes, built by Chinese mega-manufacturer ZMPC, contain communications devices that were not requested or don’t appear to support standard operations, heightening existing espionage concerns, according to the WSJ.
U.S. intelligence has warned that Chinese cranes – equipped with an array of sensors and equipment – could be exploited by Beijing, as part of China’s larger effort to disrupt national security through several fronts. Beijing continues to insist the U.S.’ national security concerns about Chinese-built cranes are “entirely paranoia” and constitute “[an abuse of] national power to obstruct normal economic and trade cooperation,” according to the WSJ.

They absolutely donate tons of money to Universities and send many thousands of their students here to work in our elite schools and research labs. The Universities like it because they pay full tuition. There are also many Chinese scientists working in our industrial labs. This is how they learn how to improve their scientific methods AND learn our latest results. When I raised that issue with management they just ignored it.
We are definitely NOT in the best of hands.

You forgot to mention, they also investigate parents active in PTA meetings who oppose castration of gender confused children.
But to play devil's advocate here, nearly all modern cranes are equipped with communication devices that send diagnostics and parameters back to the manufacturer. That way, if something ever goes south, the manufacturer can look at the crane configuration at the time of the incident to determine who/what was at fault.
And what did Mitch’s women, the Chao sisters, have to do with this?
They own a huge shipping business, one on the board of the Chinese Communist China State Shipbuilding Corporation, one Secretary of Transportation.
During Portland riots, a chinese shipment of guns came in to the port of Portland. They swept it under the rug. I can just imagine how many chinese weapons, are being shipped into blue state ports. Our security is at risk. It’s only a matter of time before the SHTF. If they think Trump will be elected, they’ll call off the election by creating bedlam in the US. I am sure some of those running our govt. presently have a “plan B” again. They can’t use biowarfare again so soon, so it will probably start with a power grid attack and attacks on major cities. Fortunately, I am a sane Orygunian and live nowhere near any cities.
I know it soinds far out, but fter the Obama and Biden years, NOTHING would surprise me.
