I cringe at work or on TV or in comedy when someone says G— Da—, or J—Ch—. I believe truly that is taking the Lord’s Name in vain.

I am partial to saying someone had a “Road to Damascus” moment. Unless you have people who aren’t of European descent, then it may not translate.

Its not a perfect fit, but you could also call it the “Chief Brody Moment.”

Agree. Cringe worthy. I can handle the other stuff, e.g., “the F word”, but taking the Lord’s name in vain is over the line. Growing up, we were forbidden to use “minced oaths” like gee, gosh, golly, etc.
