I hope Trump believes in “once burned, twice shy” and tells Pompeo to pound salt. There’s plenty of other qualified people that have proved their loyalty to him and the country that deserve the opportunity.

The two things you mention...You know as well as everyone else...that Pompeo couldn't stop Trump from releasing the files...and also that he couldn't do anything about the "supposed" election steal.
I'd support Pompeo 100% to work with Trump and in fact, as Trump's VP.

What Trump should do is find a whole cadre of loyal Infantry officers who retired at Colonel / Brigadier General
Those were the best officers/leaders. From my experience, they didn’t get promoted up more in the ranks because they were not willing to play the political games that being a senior general becomes.

The deep state is seeing that Trump might actually be elected in November and are positioning their opposition personnel to get close to him and thwart his policies while spying on Trump’s every action. He should tell Pompeo to take a hike. Pompeo had his chance but instead of supporting his boss, he cooperated in the spying on Trump and the R/T collusion Clinton created conspiracy.
He was also one of the only ones who actually served Trump fairly well.
