In GA 18 yos can drive school buses. Yikes! If there aren’t laws against bus drivers over 65 yo, there should be imo.

In our county we have many bus drivers over 70. They just can’t get drivers.
I have great grandchildren and the best drivers who drove my children to school from kindergarten still driving

I’m in rural Florida. Apparently, there was/is a tremendous shortage of bus drivers. Word is, if you had a CDL they’d hire you the same day.

Most people are A-OK on up to 80 or a bit beyond. My grandfather drove until he was nearly 90. I was about to engage my 80 y/o mother on the topic of giving up driving when she did it on her own.

Absolutely TEST drivers periodically, and maybe more often after 70, and disqualify over other issues, but age alone just isn’t a debilitating factor.
