Most people sadly are not well versed in finances. They have no clue how big $34,000,000,000,000.00 is. The interest on debt will be bigger than defense budget very soon.
Since we are running muti-Trillion dollar deficits year after year, there is no way to pay off any part of the principle. The debt will smother all future young Americans. Shame on the “adults” who have voted for politicians who created this horrible situation.
