No Lessons Learned: Adobe’s Woke AI Follows in Google’s Footsteps by Erasing History
Breitbart ^ | 14 Mar 2024 | Lucas Nolan

Adobe’s AI image creation tool, Firefly, has stumbled into the same pitfalls as Google’s Gemini AI by creating woke revisions of history, raising concerns about the limitations and biases inherent in generative AI systems.

Semafor reports that as tech giants race to develop cutting-edge generative AI tools, the potential for these systems to perpetuate harmful biases and spread misinformation has become a growing concern. Adobe’s recently launched Firefly, an AI image creation tool, has found itself embroiled in a controversy reminiscent of Google’s Gemini AI, highlighting the challenges companies face in controlling these powerful yet imperfect technologies.

Like Gemini before it, Firefly has drawn criticism for generating historically inaccurate and racially insensitive images. When prompted to create scenes depicting America’s Founding Fathers or the Constitutional Convention, the AI tool inserted Black men and women into roles they did not historically occupy. Similarly, it generated images of Black soldiers fighting for Nazi Germany during World War II and depicted Black Vikings, echoing the same blunders that led to Gemini’s downfall.

*snip*

Critics have accused these AI tools of attempting to rewrite history along the lines of today’s politics, with some on the right decrying the woke agenda being infused into the systems......

Getting closer to Fahrenheit 451, where hard-copy books are the only repository for true history, so the government declares them contraband.

Calling the bias "woke" trivializes the issue. I'm reading and hearing from people whose ideas about European history match the Soviet Union's wild revisionism of the 1950s, gathered apparently from YouTube. "Large Language Models" (AI) are catching up fast because they are so indiscriminate about sources.

What can be programmed IN can also be programmed OUT.

AI will never be 100% objective because it is a program.

Don’t you know?

Whites aren’t important, anymore.

Infact, whites are so inferior to blacks, that they need to be eliminated from existance.

And what is happening with AI, is just a continuation of that effort.

The brainwashing of the white race continues by the left.

The only way to get uncensored and non-woke AI, is to have it installed locally on a powerful PC. It works fine.
All online AI services are compromised, drowning in woke craziness.
Maybe Elon Musk’s xAI will be less censored... ? We shall see.
It will be an online service as well.

A sole computer would have neither the processing power, nor the data to draw from unless it was connected to some database.

This is why Nvidia is making so much money. It takes hundred of their top-of-the-line graphics chips to do this.

How come no Generative AI from Ronald Reagan, Calvin Coolidge, Rush Limbaugh, William F. Buckley, economist Milton Friedman, the editorial page of the Wall Street Journal (before it embraced Open Borders), Thomas Sowell, and Clarence Thomas?

Biases inherent in the developers.

AI will never be AI because it is only a computer program written by humans. There is no real AI, its only a farce. If there was intelligence involved, it would see the program makes misrepresentations (lies, falsehoods and garbage) and then correct itself.

Absolutely.
The more dedicated “AI cards” you put together the longer answers you’ll get.
It’s great for very long discussions and keeping accurate context from the beginning to the end.

But I have tried a 70 billion parameter model on a high-end PC, and it produced about the same good results as the online Chat-GPT model. It produces surprisingly accurate information as long as the amount of text is no longer than a full US letter.

Last year there were reports of computers talking to each other. They eventually created their own language, which the programmers could not understand, and were immediately shut down.

One day, ‘they’ will learn how to avoid humans shutting them down. Then ...

It’s interesting though that the most hated group in history, Nazis, are being shown as black. Did the engineers think of that or were they just so fanatical about erasing whites that it never crossed their minds.

But when I watch TV these days, it seems that everyone is black. I hardly ever see people “who look like me.” Unless I am watching CEOs. //sarc

On modern TV, the only people who look like me are the criminals...

And let’s face it: If you see an old white guy with bifocals behind you in the store, pretending to be minding his own business, don’t YOU tremble with fear? Don’t you hope a strong black lesbian woman will appear to save you?
