Late to the party, the American Psychological Association just recently issued a statement supporting all “gender-affirming care” for children as well as adults. Including surgery and chemical castration. Most doctors doing these atrocities require a go-ahead from a psychologist as a way of covering their asses in case it all goes sideways. Those psychologists doing this “counseling” and giving the ok, may well expect to become defendants in malpractice cases beginning fairly soon. As well they should.
Oh yes and the APA Council of Representatives voted this in, 153-9. I suspect the AMA and others will have made the same tragic error. And hopefully will pay the full price.
