Seattle and New York City have passed similar policies in recent years that increase wages for ride-hailing drivers, and Uber and Lyft still operate in those cities.

Excellent. Now the oil companies should refuse to deliver their products to any jurisdictions that pass insane “climate” laws.

Nearly all so called progressive policies are REGRESSIVE in real life.

Why can’t the gubmint stay out of ride-sharing? Things were going along fine until they stuck their nose into the business.

No doubt about it, $0 per hour is a very livable wage...in Mom’s basement and eating Mom’s Frosted Flakes.

Watch the Minneapolis City Council make a law that Uber and Lyft are required to operate in their city. I’m 100% serious.

Once again, leftist policies will hurt the very people they claim to want to help.
Never fails...

That’s a shame. When we recently visited our daughter in Minneapolis we relied on Uber/Lyft drivers to get us to and from the airport since our daughter’s car couldn’t accommodate us. Both drivers were immigrants but they were engaging and informative.
Ride sharing is a liberal concept that I was leery about initially, but it’s turned out to be a viable form of income for millions of Americans forced into a gig economy by bureaucrats in DC. How ironic that liberal policies will now be their demise.

Why are Republicans trying to fix this?

Ruh-roh, Shaggie!
Looks like the People's Republic of Minneapolis-St. Paul has run out of OPM [Other People's Money]...

BTW...what ever happened to ‘my body, my choice’? What about people’s choice to work under the conditions set by Uber and Lyft?
