Any state in the country could solve the illegals problem in five minutes by making it a crime to employee them.
That no one has shows that despite their talk even the reddest states are still run for CEOs not workers.
It already is a crime.
But it is one of those "selectively enforced" laws. As long as you give to the right causes you can be assured you will not be investigated.
