It’s not so much what will happen to Willis, as what won’t happen to her.

I have no idea what the chances of her prevailing in her upcoming primary are. But beyond that she no doubt had visions of the governorship, or a house or senate seat in mind. The left has no shortage of hacks willing to be the next chosen one; there won’t be any need for them to try to rescue her reputation. Re-elected or not, I think being DA will be the end of her political aspirations

One on-line commentator suggested that - during her trip to Washington, when she met with Kamala Harris - they laid out this paradise future for her, where she could be a federal judge, or a senator, as you suggested. And this vision went to her head totally.
