Joe Biden Issues Environmental Rule to Start Phasing Out Gas-Powered Cars

President Joe Biden has issued a new environmental federal regulation to begin phasing out gas-powered cars, requiring American automakers to produce Electric Vehicles (EVs) as part of his sweeping green energy agenda.

On Wednesday, Biden announced the rule to require that a majority of new cars sold in the U.S. market are EVs or hybrids by 2032, the New York Times details:

Nearly three years in the making, the new tailpipe pollution limits from the Environmental Protection Agency would transform the American automobile market. A record 1.2 million electric vehicles rolled off dealers’ lots last year, but they made up just 7.6 percent of total U.S. car sales, far from the 56 percent target under the new regulation. An additional 16 percent of new cars sold would be hybrids. [Emphasis added]

“Where the hell is Congress???”

Congress agrees with this, all of Congress. The automakers have been forced into EV manufacturing. In order to keep the donors from the auto makers from losing their shirts, the uniparty is going to force EVs on us, even if they don’t really work.

98% hybrids and 2% EVs may work.

But of course the climate change crisis is a fraud, and we need to get a new President who will acknowledge that fact!

How much of this is related to China building EV plants in Mexico?

Congress is busy making sure EPA is fully funded so there won’t be any delay in cramming this abomination down the throats of the peons.

This is the welcome mat being laid out for the bloodbath Trump spoke about. American auto industry and UAW will vote for Biden and they will become extinct. We will all be driving Chinese EV’s because we can’t build them without batteries from China.

SCOTUS needs to get off it’s collective and heavily cossetted backsides to rule on the Chevron revisit RFN.

The regulatory fiat rules need to STOP.

“Sweeping” is the term accompanying communist initiatives. “Controversial’ is used for ours. They used to also use “broad” to applaud their insanities, but the feminists screamed.

I will keep the cars I have running until they force them off the road or ban the sale of gasoline. I’m not so old that I believe I will pass naturally before they try to do this. Would this not be a “government taking” to pass laws that cause one’s valuable property to have a value of zero?

“President Joe Biden has issued a new environmental federal regulation to begin phasing out gas-powered cars, requiring American automakers..”

Excuse me…

I didn’t know that we were living under a King… who can rule by decree.

I saw another poster ask: “where is Congress?”

My guess is that they’re too busy trading stocks and making deals to even care. I’m sure that they’re gonna make a killing out of this action as well..

Some nation we have when we allow thoroughly corrupt RATS to run it..

What follows is an exchange from a meeting I was just in, in which a government employee was discussing the possibility of trying to save some time and money by driving 5-1/2 hours to a meeting destination instead of flying to it.

"You thinking about driving?"
"Yeah... I might."
"How far is it?"
"5-1/2 hours... saves airfare and rental."
"Well, you know you still have to rent a car from here... can't take your personal vehicle."
"Oh... really?"
"Yeah... and it has to be an electric vehicle."
"What?"
"Yeah"
"Guess you're flyin', then."

and watch them include wording that makes it appear that his regulations can never be undone, and watch the rinos wring their hands and say “Well, we can’t go against the law”

So, they want 100 times the number of ev’s on the roads in 8 years. Which means they will be increasing the grid capacity by 100 times too? Right? Hello?
