Of course there is a big difference in keeping a 1960 car running and a 2020 car running. Yes, many 2020s will rack up a lot more miles, but when the computers in them fail with no replacements available the car will go nowhere and you won’t be able to fix it.
Aren’t there loads of brand new cars/trucks waiting for chips so they can be sold?
