"Kerri should close all 21 locations asap"

Then what would the people eat? Newsome will force them to stay open "for the common good"

('cause that's how Marxists roll)

The solution is so simple. Newsome just has to pass a law that every Californian must buy a $25 dollar Big Mac every week. Problem solved.

But Gavin gave his Panera Bread-owing buddy a carve-out so he didn’t have to pay the $20 minimum wage at his Panera Bread Stores.

Governor Newsom, like Inslee in Washington, is out to destroy the middle class. It’s a Marxist thing.

All they have to do is bake one loaf a bread a day and offer it for sale at some crazy high price.

McDonald’s is overpriced for what it is. At this point it is worth it to splurge for a few dollars more at an independent place where one can chase better burgers with beer.

If Newsome decides to run for President, Trump has a lot of ammunition to throw at this clown.

I’m old enough to remember change from a dollar for a burger, fries and a coke.

Let me remind everyone that it isn’t just the wages. All businesses have Liability and Workeres Comp Insrance, both of those are rated on your EMPLOYEE’S Pay. If your payroll cost go up 20%, you can count on your Work Comp and Liability on going up the same percentage or More. That $20 an hour actually COSTS the business Owner $30-$40 an hour and more.

Yes, close them. Then the Gov can form a department of fast food management. Hire several hundred beaurocrats at $250,000/yr salaries.
Reopen the stores, hire workers at $35/hr + pension and unionize. Source the stores only with highest priced and union fed items.
Once doors open, slow and begrudging service only. Operate at huge losses, subsidize with tax hikes, and ensure no audits.
That is how to properly run a ‘business’.

Minimum wage in Seattle is now $19.97-hour for large corporate employers.

$17.25-hour for smaller employers.

In January 2025, all Seattle employers will pay the same minimum wage, probably over $20-hour.

I am a passionate supporter of automation, expert software, and capital investments, so, I actually see a high minimum wage as helpful, in the short term.

See if you can read between the lines and figure out which party she votes for, and then decide if you give a sh*t about her problems:

California set up the Fast Food Council. The council’s purposes would be to “establish sectorwide minimum standards on wages, working hours, and other working conditions,” including training and health and safety standards. Does that mean they can make laws? What could go wrong?

Newsom, as the majority of political hacks, know nothing about business and should stay out of it.

Well, per my research, it probably cost those owners of 21 stores about $1m-$2m initial investment in each location (or $21m to $42m in total). The average annual profit is about $150k/store, on average sales of $2.7m, or about 5.5%. Not a lot of leeway if labor costs increase tremendously. If you can’t push prices to help cover those increased labor costs (and whatever inflation is doing to all the food costs involved), you’ll be upside down pretty quickly and end up busted. A helluva lot of investment going down the drain. As usual, most democrats don’t know the first thing about running a business and how often it’s a thin line between profit and loss. Obviously.
