The issue of sources for any and all "news" is interesting. In this case, those "four unnamed sources" "told the news website Verstka," and so this is pass-through reporting. Recall the Pelosi talk about how this works?

Amusingly, when one uses a service to translate, the Verstka team says of itself, "It was founded by independent journalists and part of the gender literacy project team."
That is a small but pertinent observation in the larger picture.
