This might’ve been scrubbed already, but there was an interview with Jonathan Pollard (yes, THAT one) who said he was told by various people within the Israeli military, that the helicopter pilots were receiving phone calls from civilians during the attack, but their commanders forbid them from taking off for hours.
And in case you forget, Jonathan Pollard was a spy for Israel and got a hero’s welcom there when we expelled him afert a long stay in prison.

Anyone who has seen the Russian military struggling in Ukraine for two years, descending into a WW1 style artillery battle, unable to take a major Ukraine city Kharkiv, just 25 miles from the Russian border and still thinks NATO forces wouldn't be able to crush the Russians is not in touch with reality.
