Yes. It is only by the Hand of the Lord that he will raise up Leadership that combines God-fearing zeal, ruthlessness, and wisdom.

And it can’t be just one leader. Groups of elites rule. It is never just one king or dictator by himself.

So we need God-fearing, elites, rulers and leaders.

The analysis is thought provoking but fails to identify Leftism and the modern iteration of the Gnostic heresy as at fault. More accurately, we are becoming a post-Christian society rather than a pagan society. Worse, there is an implicit sense of retreat and defeat in the view of a beleaguered Christianity being overwhelmed by paganism.

In the alternative, I think that Christians should recognize that they must develop and embrace a new apologetic that engages with the beliefs of the modern world. People who regard themselves as "spiritual but not religious" should be seen as potential converts, not as new pagans intent on destroying the Christian faith.

In addition, Christians need to understand and explain the implications of modern physics in finding that consciousness is real and integral to material existence. I am astonished that organized Christianity is near oblivious to this and that it makes the supernatural, the paranormal, and even Christianity plausible.

A world in which the soul, life after death, ghosts, angels and demons, and God as universal consciousness are real is a world that can also accommodate the story of Jesus Christ and Christian religious faith as true and the Christian virtues as valid. Simple fundamentalism and reliance on the Bible alone will not do.

The example of Sodom suggests that God would not give up on America just because half of its people were godless, pagan, evil (whatever you want to say), or even two thirds, the “righteous remnant” is too great to do that, but those who are facilitating the Beast’s agenda will get their due punishment (I believe anyway) ... and those who are resisting will get stronger help, because we are reaching a point where that will be necessary to save the righteous remnant and bring about a revival of American culture.

The attacks are many and varied, as we know. But if we all stand together and face them down, and seek the aid of God in doing so, we will see an eventual reversal. It has happened before, European history is full of examples of ebbs and flows in the morality of nations.

2 Peter 3:2-10
King James Version

2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

When God was asked about Israel’s enemies, He said they hadn’t filled their cup yet. I understand this to mean that God was giving them the chance to repent. When they did not repent, then they were judged and eliminated.

It’s the same with America, there are sill people who may repent of how they are living and they are being given the chance to repent. It is only when they close the door that God will judge them.

Take a close look: Babylon the Great Harlot is a city.

Referenced as a city multiple times in Revelation.

However America IS doing an excellent impersonation of Babylon the Great Harlot

And may meet a similar fate

God bless

It is our calling to resist this evil even as we cannot eradicate it.

God will eradicate it with us or without us.

“The End of Times” was a big theme in the 80’s. All “prophecy” pointed to 2000 as the End. Oops.

I think you may have a point. I’ve read that the younger generation, can’t remember the name for the age group mentioned, but they are becoming more religious than their parents. A good thing.

Who knows, maybe there’s another Azusa Street Revival coming to help save the unaffiliated. Pray hard for it.

I think that Christians should recognize that they must develop and embrace a new apologetic that engages with the beliefs of the modern world

The beliefs of the modern world are at enmity with God's Word which changes not. Sin is still sin no matter how much the modern world wants to redefine it. Noah didn't embrace the modern beliefs of his time. Abraham didn't embrace the worldliness of Sodom and Gomorrah. However, Lot did and look where that got him. If the world's beliefs are anything other than faith in Christ and the Blood He shed for us, for the remission our sins. You can't get to Heaven if you don't acknowledge that you are a sinner in need of a Savior. Paganism, hedonism, and humanistic beliefs aren't a new thing. They have been around for thousands of years. As to the Church being overwhelmed by paganism, I'm glad that I didn't live in the early days of the Church. The disciple's had it a lot worse than we ever will. If anyone had a reason to feel overwhelmed, it would have been them. There are two certainties in this life. You are either saved or lost, You have either accepted Christ or you haven't. No amount of learning physics will save your soul. God is Creator of all things in the universe, including all of man kinds individual souls.

It has been believed the Catholic Church is in end times.. Having a priest who forgives and a Pope who is the head. A very large following.
I do not know. But paganism is demonic.

Paganism is every man is his own god. It is the culmination of the lie in the Garden of Eden.
