A quarter mile? That’s what, 15, 20 seconds to charge your car on this magical road? It’s a miracle.
Remember when they complained about Power-lines ,LOL
Cancer aspects? Probably low risk is my guess.
One source said the EMF would be about 62 milligauss. Another source says EMF over 1000 milligauss is enough to cause harm.
Who knows? If something like this were to actually go forward I am sure more studies would be undertaken. No shortage of researchers willing to get the funding I am sure.

“I’m surprised this is in Indiana”
Just remind yourself that the cash came from us fed taxpayers, (likely on the debt) and that we will never likely use these roads. The chicoms will build the wifi technology in their cars for export. Good chance that the payoff and kickbacks went through and to be sure there will be more in the near future.
Sounds like a good feature for a rotary/round about. Just go in circles for a couple hours to charge up.
Lets fix the potholes first.
It’s simple. You have a slot in the road, a durable rod from your car goes in the slot while tiny spring loaded rails hanging from your car making contact with the energized rail on both sides of the slot in the road. Don’t go too fast or your can will go flying off the road.
Slot cars.
lol. Millennials won’t get the reference, nor appreciate the sweet smell of ozone
This kind of thing makes me think of garage sales, like the battery powered egg beater that scrambles the egg in the shell ‘as seen on TV’, this will be be seen as junk in time.
Not disappointed.
Get back to me when your EV blows up, oh wait a minute.
What happens when ice and snow cover the road?
What happens when they put down salt to counter ice and snow
The cars have to have the proper circuitry to use the energy. They aren’t built with it.
Let’s not quibble over those small details. All we need to know is that an EV is faster than an internal combustion Hemi in the quarter mile at the drag strip.
More ICE vehicles spontaneously combust than EVs. I await your call.
A better idea, one that would benefit more people, would be a highway that would refill gas tanks while cars were moving over it.
Fortunately, they have enough sense to do this on a side road and not on I-65. That is enough of a disaster as it is, without any experiments. I wonder if the test area is close enough to I-65 that you can see the flames and smoke in case something goes wrong.
EV Really? ICE vehicles have an over 100 year history and brought prosperity, get back to me when there is a practical EV tractor tailer.
I'll be waiting.
