A property owner in Atlanta, Georgia, is fighting back against squatters who have taken over his land, which spans nine acres.

Approximately ten years ago, David Morris, who now resides in California, allowed four individuals to live on the property for a while at no charge, Fox News reported Wednesday, noting the agreement was they would assist with the upkeep of the land.

Morris used to run a nonprofit on the property that assisted needy people with food. However, he shut down operations during the Chinese coronavirus pandemic, as people suffering from addiction and mental health problems moved onto the land and trashed it.

No good deed goes unpunished. I lost any faith I had in humanity long, long ago. Given enough time, people never fail to disappoint me.

The age-old conflict between one’s Christian impulse to help others vs. dealing with broken people who can’t be helped or will only bring you down.

I checked their website. It doesn’t look like they work outside of CA.

A church I used to attend was founded to bring the gospel to the inner city; all the other churches in the area were nothing more than an extension of the Democrat party.

Then we got a new minister who changed the mission to serving the homeless.

Needless to say the congregation had no idea what to do for these people and the church fell apart.

You can’t pull someone out of a factory and expect them to become a social worker/psychologist on the weekends.

“as people suffering from addiction and mental health problems moved onto the land and trashed it.”

BIG CLUE.

Drugs are bad. Really bad. They destroy morals.

If they don’t care about themselves they won’t care about you

So, where does that put us?

Basically: Those who don’t respect civilization eventually lose its protections.

And that’s where we are.

No respect for civility opens Pandora’s box

= = =

But they can spread the Gospel - the Good News about Jesus.

Which is not feeding and catering to the homeless.

I agree. My oldest son has dealt with addiction. Rehab 3 times. He is 40. He is tired of the “justice System” Now he just wants to get a job and go to work every day. He has landed a good one and starts next week, so I am optimistic for the first time in quite a while. It is a struggle for the addict AND his family.

“No respect for civility” also results from failures of the “justice” system to hold people accountable. Too many disrespect the justice system because they have been convinced they have been treated more harshly than others. It is a REAL problem that the commies have convinced racial groups that they have been unfairly treated and why BLM is such a dangerous group. That is a deliberately divisive ploy.
