China issued a travel advisory for citizens visiting the United States, asking them to take safety precautions and be prepared for "various unexpected situations", such as being searched.

Several Chinese students and company employees have recently been subjected to "unwarranted interrogations and harassment" by US airport law enforcement officers, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on its WeChat account on Friday.

Their phones, computers and other luggage items were searched piece by piece, and several people were banned from entering the country, it said.

No problem. Just detour through the southern border.

Well, good, it’s about time the U.S. started treating the PRC like it treats our citizens, and also crack down on the CCP espionage.

2019 monitoring of Chinese “college student” spies.

CNN so it has to be true./S
China is using people from all walks of life with increasing frequency, current and former US intelligence officials tell CNN.

Beijing is leaning on expatriate Chinese scientists, businesspeople and students like Ji – one of roughly 350,000 from China who study in the US every year – to gain access to anything and everything at American universities and companies that’s of interest to Beijing, according to current and former US intelligence officials, lawmakers and several experts.

The sheer size of the Chinese student population at US universities presents a major challenge for law enforcement and intelligence agencies tasked with striking the necessary balance between protecting America’s open academic environment and mitigating the risk to national security.

While it remains unclear just how many of these students are on the radar of law enforcement, current and former intelligence officials told CNN that they all remain tethered to the Chinese government in some way, even if the vast majority aren’t sent to the US to spy.

I was thinking tell the Chinese to ride the NYC subways and stroll around Oakland and San Francisco at night. Take in some sights in Chicago and Detroit.

Just being neighborly.

Balloon photo.

Air Force spokeswoman Ann Stefanek told The Detroit News that the four missiles used in the later operations alone cost between $400,000 to $500,000 each – but that price tag did not account for the support provided by other warplanes and operations to recover the debris. Mar 24, 2023

Wall Street Journal article:
Pentagon Spent At Least $1.5 Million on Missiles to Down Three High-Altitude Objects.

Defense officials are still analyzing debris from suspected Chinese surveillance balloon.

Interrogations and harassment are VERY warranted.

Just for the record, I’ve traveled to China nearly a dozen times over the past 20 years. Never had any problem passing in and out.

“China issues travel advisory to citizens visiting the US, warning of ‘unwarranted interrogations and harassment’”

That’s the least of their worries in big democrat cities.
