The prevailing theme and emphasis by my Baltimore stations has been on stressing how the construction workers were model “citizens,” contibuting to their communities while sending money back to their families in their home countries.
Excellent point you raise. If this is something that could recur, wouldn’t they want to stop it from happening? Shouldn’t there be some urgency?
Or does it have to happen again for them to be concerned?
my suspicions are that the Coast Guard Investigators want the crew isolated from the media circus until they get a chance to talk to them.
My report: A big cargo ship hit the bridge support.
Maintenance not done properly on the engine.
Prior recent issues with ship including hitting a dock.
Recommend the ship owners pay for new bridge in full and lots of money to the families of the dead.
I do not know....Prolly a lot of reasons....
