WASHINGTON — Small businesses in Fayette County affected by the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore are eligible to apply for U.S. Small Business Administration low-interest loans.
Fayette is one of eight Pennsylvania counties where small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small aquaculture businesses, and private nonprofit organizations now are eligible for Economic Injury Disaster Loans, which carry interest rates of 4% (3.25% for private nonprofit organizations) and have terms of as long as 30 years. Businesses can borrow up to $2 million to pay operating expenses if their revenues dropped due to the disaster.
Businesses in Maryland; Washington, D.C.; and the counties in Delaware, Virginia; and West Virginia adjacent to Maryland also are eligible for the federal help.

Fayette County small businesses eligible for federal help following Baltimore bridge collapse provided they can show enough money lost in their tax returns, else do not expect to get more than a pittance at usury interest rates.
The bigger ‘small’ business will set the standard. People who have well-paying side jobs, like teachers, will clean up.

Fayette County, Pennsylvania is 200 miles due west from Baltimore. How in the hell does the bridge collapse hamper their business.
I could see places north and south of the bridge being impacted, but not a place 200 miles west of Baltimore.

The Fedgov apparently qualified the whole state of Maryland, as well as all counties bordering Maryland. A small bit of Fayette County borders far western Maryland.
