I beg to differ, sir-the problem is that this judge is a criminal sympathizer and needs to be removed from the bench, disbarred, prosecuted-and maybe waterboarded as a start-now-it has nothing to do with a surname or ethnicity. I’m Hispanic and I loathe mojados-my family has been here for over 200 years-do you consider me a criminal sympathizer or a problem because of my Spanish family name? There are far, far many more Hispanic folks that think like me than the ones you are referring to here in Texas, in Florida, Arizona, New Mexico-maybe even in Cali. I can hardly believe someone said that on FR-such a bigoted sounding remark...
I get where you are coming from... I grew up friends with kids whose families have been here since their great great great great great Grandparents were awarded land grants by King (of Spain) Charles II or King Phillip V, etc., long before there was a USA.
But you gotta admit that folks like that, and like you, are now outnumbered thousands to one. So I also get where V_TWIN is coming from.
It's just easier to lump everything together.
At least the USA has not begun to round up similarly LOOKING folks and place them in internment camps; yet.
