Johnson has done better than Hakeem Jeffries on dealing with many other bills, and will be better than Jeffries for next 7 months. I am as against as anyone for spending money we don’t have on unnecessary foreign wars. I just do not see the point in blaming one congressman when majority of congress critters are for BORROWING more to spend in Ukraine.
Not really. It’s because Ukraine has the votes with or without the Speaker. As I am sure you are aware, the Rs have a majority by only a few seats and since a significant number of Rs want to give Ukraine aid, it will happen no matter who is Speaker.
Johnson does not have much leverage.
