Years ago, the Cleveland Plain Dealer had guys in gas stations selling subscriptions. When my wife declined they asked her why. Her response: “I don’t wanna read your liberal rag!”…….classic.

I had the same experience with another rag. The guy had a seat in a local supermarket and asked If I would by a subscription. My reply:”you could not pay me to read your crappy newspaper.” He was dumbfounded and never saw him or his paper selling subscriptions again.
