Looks like the legislature has the numbers to override.

This is a tough one because it’s good for local government to control their turf, but then the lefties come in and muck the place up with crazy laws and corrupt officials.

Local governments can easily become local tyrannies. It is why it is important for the Bill of Rights to apply to local governments.

Wait... you sound like you’ve given the governor’s insulting claim some credit... that the State can’t protect its citizen’s liberties from the power of local governments? Nope! The only time in the history of America, in the history of how many millions of acts compelling behavior that a governor says, “Well, maybe the State should cede authority to local governments” is when local governments strip their citizens of liberty. Bull.

If they DO override it, and they should, then the clock is ticking on some mental patient shooting up a place that was formerly a “gun free zone” so that the left can make a point.
