Won’t happen.
Kalamath river dams served mostly conservative leaning food producers.
Hetch Hetchy serves mostly Democrats and Eco-nuts.
who don’t produce anything.
Science doesn’t matter only politics.
And don’t give me shit about how Indians preserve nature.
BS. They destroyed the elk herds in WA state and I have seen my share of passed out Indian drunks with a truck load of salmon rotting in the sun, subsistence fishing my ass.
Color me Jaded.

Quite the opposite. The most rabid proponents of tearing down the Hetch Hetchy system are some of the most highly educated liberals in the in the Bay Area. Stanford and Cal grads with advanced degrees.

Try to explain to them that the water they drink and the electricity that powers their semiconductors comes from dams in the Sierra Nevada's. They refuse to accept that reality.

They seem to believe that water magically appears from water faucets and electricity come from outlets on their walls

Even electrical and civil engineers.

They cannot be persuaded or reasoned with. They are living in their own little ideological bubbles and they are totally unmoored form reality.

I’ve been in school with the guys you mention.
I have graduate credits in physics from UC Berkeley.
Yes they are idiots because they live in a bubble.
And they are Democrats and Eco-nuts.
They don’t have a concept of real world.
I am a month or three from going off Grid living.
I know what the edge is.
I know exactly how long my catchment water supply will last if it doesn’t rain for a year. They don’t have a clue what to do if the tap runs dry.
That Post Doc doesn’t help much does it?

To reach the environmental ideal of these insane eviromentalists we would need to kill off most of humanity. They really do want to kill us.

Were this a company, the media and the government agencies wouldn’t shut up about it.
But because the state and a liberal governor, well nothing to see here!

I wonder if I could get a grant to put in a nice hydro-electric dam there to generate power for EVs. The environmental impact study should be a snap. No endangered species to worry about there.

Remember when the Klamath Falls Suckers took priority over the water needs of farmers in the Klamath basin? Everything is expendable for everything.

The Wichipek dump (spelling) in Northern California is just a pull out where the local tribe just dump everything in to the river.
